amelia is 5 months old!

amelia has been 5 months old for a couple of weeks now... and she is on the move! she has been rolling over more and more every day, and this weekend, she really became a mobile rolling machine. she's already gotten stuck a couple of times, and wow, i really need to baby-proof our living room. there are teeny tiny doodads all over the place thanks to my children that love to collect little things!

she is still doing great-- sleeping and eating wonderfully, though i can tell she is definitely teething. she is spitting up more and drooling a ton, which are two tell-tale signs for my teething kiddos. oh, and the fact that she is gnawing our fingers like they're kfc drumsticks! amelia's squeals and noises are developing too-- she's making some "mmmm" sounds and her vowels are much more distinct now. she loves being on the floor "playing" with ethan and caroline, or at least watching them and dodging toys on the move. her hair is growing in slowly but surely, and we don't know what to do with a blond, almost-bald baby! :) i tried to stick one of caroline's little baby bows in her hair the other day, and it was pretty comical. oh well, she'll get some hair eventually.

so things around here are good. amelia is such a delight. i know i'd love her even if she was a cranky, moody thing. my love for my child is not contingent on whether or not she pleases me. but this momma does appreciate this content and easy-going gift from God!
