here's the first shots of the 3 cousins all together... we were pretty much risking caroline's life by taking these pictures, i think, but ethan behaved himself for the most part. :) today, ethan begged to sit in karina's carseat...and then he wanted karina to sit in it with him! he signed "please" over and over... so here ya go! oh we're gonna have fun as these kids grow up!
ok, i'm almost caught up on pictures! here's some shots from our first few days at home. we are so thankful for our healthy baby girl. ethan still gets so excited every time he sees her. i'm sure that will wear off eventually, but we're enjoying watching him love his sister. as of today, we've created a barricade for her when she's on her boppy on the couch so ethan can't show too much love. :) ha. 
one of my favorite memories of us bring caroline home is the giggling little boy that was standing at our front door when we pulled in the driveway... ethan was so completely excited to see us! that is definitely a better memory than the one of caroline vomiting all over her coming home outfit just before we were ready to leave the hospital! ha! we are more than glad to be home, and we're getting adjusted a little more every day. thank you for the calls and emails--if you're local, feel free to stop by. we'd love to see you! you never know- a picture of you holding caroline may make it on tenlittletoes!! :) enjoy the pictures. and hang on- there's more. :)

i can't believe it's almost already been a week since caroline was born! i want to share my thoughts on her birth, but i know you all just want to see pictures right now, so i'll save that for another time. i'll start the picture posting with first shots from the hospital. not the most glamorous, i will say... i decided hospital gowns should be a nice royal blue or red color vs. make-you-look-like-death-warmed-over-green. i mean, c'mon. after you've just birthed an almost 9 lb. baby, you need all the help you can get! but it's not about me... it's about that sweet almost 9 lb. baby... so here she is...

photographoholics???? all of your guesses were waaaaay over the actual number of pictures we took in the first 4 days of caroline's life... except our winner--hope! she guessed 400 pictures, which was closest to the actual number of 344. so congratulations hope! when your sweet baby girl is born, maybe you can try to beat us. i know you're a fellow lover of pictures. :) alright, on to more exciting things like actually posting these pictures i took!

yay! the last belly pictures!!! i won't miss taking these...that's for sure! the picture on the left was taken the morning we left for the hospital--at 40 weeks. i thought it'd be interesting to compare that picture with the big ole baby that was in that belly! i am so glad she's out! 
we are all doing well. caroline is sleeping and eating well, and i'm trying to take naps whenever i get a chance... i have so many pictures i want to post, but i'm trying to take care of my body and rest when i can. like right now, i should really be in bed, so i'm gonna end this post and catch a few zzz's till my sweet caroline wakes me up.
so life with two little ones is pretty busy! my great intention of posting pictures earlier today went right out the window...but i won't apologize. today was a good day-- caroline ate and slept well, and ethan took wonderful naps too!! so that meant brian and i were able to rest a little. (notice that the quality of my day is highly influenced by sleep!! ha.) it is way past time for me to be in bed (at least for a couple of hours...) so i'll just share a few of caroline's first pictures tonite. but don't worry... we have PLENTY MORE where these came from! actually, why don't we have a little fun?? let's see who can come the closest to guessing the number of pictures we have taken since caroline's birth on tuesday afternoon.... 
i can't wait to share more pictures of our sweet little girl with you!! we are loving every minute with her.
