quality tv

so nana is retired.... she's loving it, and apparently she is using her time very wisely...like searching out great internet resources for the well-being of our child. tonite she sent me a link to songs from the pbs show "between the lions". i've heard of the show, and it was always playing in my OBGYN's waiting room, but i never waddled over to the tv to watch it...now i see what i was missing!! one song just happens to be my all-time favorite phonics rule.. "when 2 vowels go a-walking, the first one does the talking". :) but brian and i have voted this song to be number one... or is it won? :) if you don't get that, you obviously didn't check out the link.... nana has voted vowel boot camp as one of her top picks. i'd go with her recommendations. she knows her reading stuff!!

check out the website, and vote on your favorite song!! (mom, this should keep you busy at lunch...)

there are also great reading resources on here for your kids! have fun with the online games or print out some things to color. i thought the word play game was really cute. i'll have to add this to my bookmarks for future reference... right now, we're just working on rolling over! :) (which he did TWICE today, by the way!)

Yeah! Let's hear it for FUN songs to help build all the little children's phonemic awareness and phonics skills! I'm afraid though that the Sven song got the best of me. Enjoy!

although I love him even more than I love coffee, this has nothing to do with Ethan. i just thought you'd want everyone to know what we discovered--Ryan
