goin' to the chapel...

my dear friend and college roommate, nichele, was a beautiful bride this weekend. friends and family gathered to celebrate her marriage to rick, a man that seems to treat her like a queen and love her dearly. congratulations to the happy couple! (you will love marriage- it is definitely a blessing from God!!) here are a few snapshots from their celebration...

several of our college friends traveled to be a part of her wedding weekend... we did absolutely nothing but enjoy each other's company. that is true friendship...no need to be entertained because being together is surely entertainment enough! this weekend was pretty much like a middle school slumber party... somebody sleeping on every walking space in the house, conversations still going at 1 a.m., and loud shrieks at midnight about dumb, girly things. i cannot believe we didn't wake up ethan with our screaming! (i cannot believe we found weird guy from chapel on a singles website!) on sunday afternoon, i felt like a truck had run over me. when i was younger and would return home from a slumber party playing the role of "miss cranky-pants", my mom would without fail say, "that's the last slumber party you're going to!" i think i was telling myself that on sunday afternoon... (thank you, nana and pappy, for caring for my child so i could sleep!) i'm sure the next time we all get together, we'll stay up too late, look at the same pictures all over again, and maybe we'll find another chapel friend on the internet....maybe next time it will be the guy with the electric razor or the girl with 50 butterfly clips in her hair!! oh, the possibilities are endless. :)

thank you, girls, for coming. i loved having you, and i know it meant so much to nichele for you to be here. enjoy the pictures of our time together.

oh, come on, you didn't think i could post pictures without including one of my cutie-pie, did you? he did very well at his first wedding. they say that kids are more well-behaved when they're dressed up...
