doin' a double take
i happened upon some family photos earlier this month.
this little girl...
reminded me of this little girl...
i probably have a picture of amelia that resembles the first picture a little more, but searching through thousands and thousands of pictures is not really on my (long) to-do list.
then i found another picture of the same little girl a little older...
that still reminded me of this little girl...
(OH how i wish i had that smocked dress for amelia!!!!)
amelia may not look much like her brother or sister, but she sure does favor someone else in our family! do you see it!? can you guess who it is?!

Those resemblances are CRAZY strong!! Is that you??? I don't have any pictures of that like me as a baby!! Maybe your mom?
I know who it is!!:) But I won't say because I had an unfair advantage!:)

The older pics have to be of your mom. I've thought about the resemblance in almost every picture I've seen of Amelia. Thanks for sharing, Em. And thanks for the piano referral. I met with Gracie and her mom this week.
yep! it's my mom! isn't that crazy?! especially because i have not thought that i look that much like my mom. i love how genes work. God is so creative and has blessed us in big and small ways. what an incredible and exciting surprise it is to see what your baby looks like after months of wondering and sonogram analyzing! :) with two close friends who have just had babies in the last month, it's been so fun to share in their excitement and amazement in how one baby looks very different than his siblings and how the other definitely resembles her sisters. God is so good. thanks for sharing in the fun of comparing amelia to her gram! :)
