if you can't say somethin' nice...
fellow mommas, please tell me if you can top this one...(kristi, i'm counting on you!)
i ran to the grocery on saturday to just pick up a few things. i saw an old friend as i was walking in the store, so we stopped and chatted for a few minutes. i noticed this lady waiting to talk to me, and as i said good-bye to my friend, the lady approached me. and this is what the complete stranger waited to say to me...
you couldn't hide behind a tree if you wanted to, could ya!?
um, well, if it was a big tree!

not that this tops your comment....but as i waddled into walmart a woman stopped me and said, "lady, please don't have that baby in there" nice. thanks for the advice, as if i'd actually considered it.
where are people's boundaries anymore? even though she thinks she is being funny, that is so wrong! I think you are a beauitful pregnant woman, be proud of that belly!! I constantly got "are you having twins??!!" and "you're due any day, right"...when I was only like 4-5 mo. along! :) I feel ya!
that just might top the "it's really funny that you've got a watermelon in your cart when it looks like you've already got one under your green shirt" comment that i got. especially since she waited to tell you!
Oh friend! That is so hilarious! My office mate is pregnant, although not very far along yet, and she already has crazy stories to share. However, none of them top that one!
I'm sorry, I found that funny!! :) What is it with people these days?! They just don't think before they speak nor do they consider "If it were me, would I appreciate a comment like that?"
I agree with Amy! You are a beautiful pregnant woman!!
thanks for your sweet comments, friends! jennifer, i also found it really funny after i picked my jaw up off the floor! oh wait, i guess my jaw would've just hit my BIG BELLY...
I have had many a comments similar to that, but,I do believe that tops all!The fact that she waited to say this to you...wow..I'm at a loss for words!Having a baby is a gift, don't listen to all the rude comments!
p.s.I'm Kristie's cousin, just so you don't get concerned about a stranger on your blog :).
Wow.
Poetic license to a new level.
This morning I was brave (crazy) enough to go to the fabric store and Wal-mart with all of the kids. In the cereal aisle a man just stared. And stared. And stared. He kind of looked like one of the seven dwarfs to me, but anyway, that's besides the point. He finally said, "You sure have a lot of kids, don't you?"
I just smiled. I wanted to tell him he reminded me of Grumpy, but that would have been so mean.
