fun times with good friends

we made it home safe and sound... and tired! i have so many pictures i want to post... i'll do a select few (haha) tonite... we had so much fun visiting eric and kristi and the kids. i was reaaaaaaally hoping that baby #3 would come while we were visiting, but he/she is just too comfy inside mommy right now. (kristi begs to differ!) it was such a blessing to see our kids play together again and to just be together with our friends. we worshiped with them at their huge, wonderful church on sunday, and one night we went downtown to pig out on bbq!! we walked so far i was sure that kristi was gonna have that baby!! i got to go with her and lydia to her midwife appointment, which was some fun girl time while brian stayed home with the boys... on the last night we were there, kristi and i got this second wind around 10:30 to start hanging pictures and arranging things on her mantle... so typical of us!! we also took some HYSTERICAL pictures with eric's laptop on photo booth... once he sends them to me, i will surely post them. so stinkin hilarious........ i almost forgot the kids' "dance party" right before bedtime-- how is it that dads know just how to get the kids all wound up before bed??? it was a pretty funny sight.

it was hard to leave, but at the same time, i was ok because i know that they are where they need to be. God has blessed them time and time again just in the short couple of months since they've moved. as much as i wish they were still just down the street, i am thankful for cell phones and email to keep in touch. we're already talking about meeting somewhere in january so we can see the new babies! i'm so thankful for our precious friends. i could have stayed a month.

during our travels, we also visited other friends and witnessed the marriage of john and jennifer.... i'll post those pictures soon, hopefully! enjoy these for now.

kristi- 38 weeks, me- 31 weeks

playtime in steven's room...
notice he's modeling the lastest in toddler boy bags!

the buddies together again!

can ya tell it's naptime?

after our looong walk downtown!

the kids were so excited about the fountain!

lydia wouldn't stop talking about throwing pennies in the fountain!
then she found rocks to throw,
which saved her mom and dad some money. :)

this one of ethan is a little blurry,
but it's just such a precious shot to me.

here's the dance party gettin' started...

there was no stopping these maniacs!

is that my son?

steven strikes a pose... don't hurt yourself, buddy!

on the road....

well, i forgot to say that we'd be out of town for the past week... we've been traveling to see friends and to share in the joy of our friend john's wedding. right now we are LOVING being with eric and kristi and their sweet kids. we leave wednesday morning to come home. the time with them has just flown by, as i knew it would... but we are thankful for the blessing of technology to make the miles between us seem shorter. i'll write more when i get home- well, at least that's my goal. i'll definitely post some pictures of our journey.

and yes, i know i need to post those other videos. i'll do that sometime before the baby comes. haha.

hope you are all having a great week so far.

honeymoon memories

ahh, this time 2 years ago, we were strolling the streets of charleston, hand in hand as husband and wife... with not a care in the world except what we should order for our breakfast that would be delivered to our room the next morning. :) we actually stopped in amelia island for the first two nights..after first going to chick-fil-a and walmart (ha--we laughed pretty hard about that!). we stayed at the most wonderful b&b, the elizabeth pointe lodge. our room overlooked the atlantic ocean... and it was more than beautiful. then we headed on to charleston, where we stayed downtown right by the water at the harbourview inn. we took an airplane ride over downtown charleston, which was quite an adventure! we also planned on going on this huge sailboat while we were there, but we were quickly reminded that hurricane season is not limited to our neck of the woods... we visited the biggest oak tree we've ever seen and loved exploring downtown. we visited the market (where they sell those crazy expensive baskets!) and took the tourist carriage ride, too... so much fun. we could've stayed a lot longer. enjoy all the pictures....

i love this picture of us entering our home
for the first time as husband and wife...

here we go to amelia island!

this is our bed & breakfast on amelia island.
our room was the very middle 3 windows on the 2nd floor.

our quaint little room

our view overlooking the atlantic...
the candles in the window are now in our bedroom,
and the smell always reminds me of our honeymoon!

the beautiful porch downstairs

see? not a care in the world. :)

we got caught!

now on to charleston...

the harbourview inn...
our room was to the left of that really bright part on the wall.

the brick in our room dates way back to sometime important...
they turned down our bed & left chocolates on our pillows every night. :)

the little airplane we rode

a lighthouse off the coast of charleston

we loved exploring the historic neighborhoods

more historic downtown

isn't this a huge tree?
you can see how tiny we are compared to it

these baskets in the market are famous... and crazy expensive!
i asked about the price of one, and the lady said, "three fifty"...
at first, i thought she meant $3.50, but it was $350!!

one more kiss.....

i love this day....

today is the 2nd anniversary of the day that brian and said "i do"... it was a perfect day and a perfect beginning of a life together....for two imperfect people depending on a perfect God for true happiness and joy. i sometimes still get giggly at the fact that we're married (i think i exclaimed "we're married!" at least 500 times on our honeymoon)... i'm thankful for the countless ways in which God is teaching us and blessing us on a daily basis. i love my husband, and i can't wait to celebrate our anniversary for years and years to come!!! i could go on and on, but i thought you'd all rather see some pictures from our wedding day.

august 28, 2004

that day i became a part of brian's fun and crazy family! :)

the ceremony seemed to go by so quickly...

i especially loved this part :)

our wedding party

my favorite part...the cake!

i loved seeing the ring on my husband's finger!

off to happily ever after!

stay tuned for a sneak peek into our honeymoon (ok... not THAT kind of sneak peek..haha)
