just a test...

ok, i am dying to be able to post videos on here...youtube.com lets you do it.. but everytime i try to upload a video of darling ethan, the youtube server apparently stops responding... could just be my super slow computer that is running out of memory!!! so i finally was able to upload a silent movie of a snowball fight in memphis. i tried this one b/c it's a relatively small file compared to the ones i have of ethan. so... let's see if it works!

ok... i see it there. see if you can play it and lemme know. it's gonna be pretty pixelated ("boxy" for uncle tom)...but hopefully i can post some really good ones of ethan sometime soon.

the best 180 days

ethan turned 6 months old today. i can't believe it. he has been a part of our lives (well, outside of the womb) for half a year already. gosh, time sure flies. we are loving every minute of this little boy's life. here's a little recap...

when in doubt...stick it in my mouth!

hey! who turned the lights off?

hats off to 2006!

happy new year!

i know you are seriously concerned b/c my last 4 posts have not included pictures of ethan.... but never fear, some new years' pictures are on their way. hang on a day or two.... he's 6 months old today!!

hope you all had a wonderful new year's! we had a great time with some families from church that we don't get to hang out with a lot. more on that later... maybe.

leah gia!

i love living in the town where i grew up! it means often bumping into familiar faces when i'm out and about... especially during the holidays. while i was at the mall a few weeks ago (trying to find those ornaments!!), i ran into one of my dear friends' mom! i hadn't seen leah since high school, and her mom said she'd be in town for christmas. so, of course i had to see her! we met for lunch and spent forever catching up. she's just the same...down to earth and so grounded in Christ. it was such a blessing to talk with her after over 8 years!! gosh, we are getting old!! i can't remember when i met leah... i know we were in preschool together at her church, and then we grew up going to school together and playing softball against each other. i was never as good at softball as she was!! (my little legs just couldn't compete!!) our most memorable class together was definitely 10th grade english, where we had the most eccentric and strict teacher. she affectionately called leah "leah gia", and that name just stuck. :) she now works in exercise science, and she approved my pilates dvd. :) (whew!) i hate it that i lost touch with leah after high school, but hopefully we can keep in touch now. i can always use another encouraging friend to point me to the cross. it was great to see you, leah!!
